Berkshire Waldorf High School presents Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit at the Unicorn Theatre, 6 East Street, Stockbridge, MA on March 17-19.
Blithe Spirit is the story of socialite and novelist Charles Condomine, who invites Madame Arcati to his house for a meeting, in hopes of gathering material for his next book. This backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his angry first wife, Elvira, after the meeting. Elvira attempts to disrupt Charles’s marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who can’t see or hear the ghost.
This production is directed by drama teacher Beth Robbins and double-casted, with Flora Paladino and Liam Heller playing “Edith/Edward,” Isaac LeBlanc and Wyeth Curtis playing “Charles,” Sedona MaCloud and Kendra Bellamy playing “Ruth,” Ellie Kanz and Grace O’Callahan playing “Elvira,” Soka Venegas and Jaeden Alston playing “Madame Arcati,” Kevin Krum and Ollie Berkowitz playing “Dr. Bradman,” Ella Rydingsword and Iris Davis playing “Mrs. Bradman,” and Stage Manager Beatrice Hayhurst.
