Our applicants seek a college preparatory education which is rigorous yet flexible and balances academic, artistic, social, and practical work. They seek the benefits of a low student-teacher ratio and excellent college guidance.
The talents and aspirations of our applicants are varied. Their prior educational experience includes Waldorf schools, other independent schools, public schools, and homeschools. They have lived in rural, suburban, and urban settings. They come to Stockbridge from the immediate area, further afield in New England, other regions of the United States, and abroad. Occasionally, families arrange for local room and board.
We celebrate diversity in its many forms, and welcome conversation with any applicant about their unique situation. All are encouraged to apply.
